Sep 2018 of Member letter Dear Members, What a hectic August! First, there is a lot of work needs to be followed before and after the Shantou Meeting. And then the work of the 25th Anniversary comes closely after it. The miniatures have gone into the production process and every detail requires meticulousness and a closely follow-up which cannot be assisted by others. The work including writing the invitations, working out the method for members to order the miniatures, thinking the procedure on the event day etc. is too numerous to mention! The Shantou Meeting with nearly 500 people to attend was completed successfully. Although it was not the perfect one, every member of the committee worked and united together and all of them did their duty. With their strong sense of responsibility, the event could be taken place smoothly. Each of the attended miniature enthusiasts praised it as the biggest and the most successful miniature meeting. I am really honoured to be one of the participants there. The Hong Kong Miniature Liquor Club will organise its first large gathering in the past 25 years on 16 December 2018. It is lucky to have the support from the major distilleries in the world. We have specially ordered various miniatures to celebrate this 25th Anniversary Silver Jubilee of our club and every one of them is exclusive in the world. Miniature enthusiasts must be anticipating these precious bottles. We are now having almost 50 foreign members requiring the registration. Since the miniatures are still in production progress, only the a few drafts (Hine and Louis XIII) can be shown here. I believe that members will be more excited when the photos are ready to be presented! It is surely out of my expectation to have such unstinting support from each major distillery in the world, therefore, we are now having nearly ten types of miniatures. Three bottles of them will be given as a gift to all the attendees. The production of another one is still speeding up. 5 bottles will be chosen as the selected miniatures for members to purchase. 1-2 bottles are still under discussion or we may keep these 1-2 bottles as the monthly selection in the future. In order to get the latest news from us, once again, I would like to ask those who are still receiving our newsletters by post to change to receive emails or join our WeChat group. The monthly selection will be stopped from this month, so that we can focus on handling the matters of our 25th Anniversary Gathering which is now open for application and releasing more relevant information.
